AAR

After Action Review – a process for reviewing completed plans to gather insights for improvement.

BHA

Bottom Hole Assembly – a section of the drilling equipment used during well operations.

BOP

Blowout Preventer – a critical safety device used to prevent uncontrolled release of oil or gas during drilling operations.

CET

Central European Time – the time zone used for scheduling support services.

ID

Inner Diameter – a measurement used to describe the internal dimensions of pipes or equipment.

PDF

Portable Document Format – a file format used for sharing documents in a consistent layout.

POOH

Pulling Out Of Hole – an operation where drilling equipment is withdrawn from the wellbore.

sg

Specific Gravity – a measurement used to describe the density of a fluid compared to water.

Glossary

Glossary
Action

A task or intervention created during real-time operations to address an immediate need. Unlike steps, actions are unplanned and provide flexibility during the execution of tasks.

Attachment

A file or document linked to a plan or task, which can be reviewed, updated, or deleted as needed. Examples include PDFs, images, or technical reports.

Breadcrumb Trail

A navigation aid in the user interface that shows the path to the current plan or section, allowing users to track their location within the hierarchy of the application.

Contingency Plan

A pre-approved alternative to the primary plan used to manage deviations during operations. In RigBridge, these plans can be switched between regular and contingency status based on operational needs.

Draft Plan

A work-in-progress plan that has not been finalized or sent for review. It remains editable until it is approved or published.

Execution Order

A list of plans arranged in the order they will be executed. This includes both regular and contingency plans.

Integration Panel

A section within RigBridge that allows users to import tasks from external applications, such as DrillPlan or WellCom, to create or update plans.

Main Menu

The primary menu in RigBridge that provides access to various features such as Project Planner, Plan Editor, and app settings.

Parallel Activities

Tasks that can occur simultaneously during the operation without disrupting the main plan.

Plan editor

A tool in RigBridge that allows users to create, modify, and manage plans. It includes features such as linking properties, editing steps, and managing operational parameters.

Plan Overview

A module in RigBridge designed for creating, organizing, and managing well-specific operational plans. It is essential for structuring complex drilling operations.

Properties

Data fields linked to a plan or section, such as well data or operational parameters, that can be customized or imported from third-party systems.

Reference

A tool used in plans to automatically reuse data points, such as depths or measurements, ensuring consistency and accuracy across different plans.

Revision Log

A record of changes made to a plan, including updates on who approved or reviewed the plan.

Right Side Panel

A tool in RigBridge that provides contextual options, such as properties and integrations, based on the active plan or section.

Step

A pre-defined segment in a plan detailing specific tasks. Steps are planned and structured, ensuring the systematic execution of an operation.

Tab Navigation

A feature in the Plan Editor that allows users to switch between multiple plans or sections using tabs at the top of the interface.

Task Overview

A section in the Plan Editor where users can view and manage all the tasks associated with a plan.

Text Editor

A tool in RigBridge that allows users to add or modify text in a plan, including instructions, comments, and properties.
